The Ghazi 'Gus' Yarak Memorial Fundraiser Shoot
On Sunday the 7th of April 2019, Marconi Clay Target Club proudly hosted the Ghazi 'Gus' Yarak Memorial Fundraiser Shoot. With 14 squads in attendance and sunny weather conditions, a fantastic day was had by all.
Thank you to the Yarak family for the delicious salads everyone enjoyed on the day, Alex Nohra for the amazing Lasagna and Tony in the kitchen for all his assistance in filling the hungry stomachs of the shooters and their families!
Thank you to the Marconi CTC committee for their hard work leading up to the day in honour of our dear friend and fellow committee member Ghazi. Peter Phillpott, Steve Barros & Enzo Dimeglio devoted their Saturday to setting targets which reflected the sea of red on the scoreboard. Thank you to Sharon, Maria & Paul Heuston in the office making sure the shoot ran as smoothly as possible. James Da Silva for helping set up all the tables.
A special thanks goes out to Holly Phillpott who organised the sponsorship for this shoot which contributed greatly to the days success along with the help of Joe Haddad & Paul Heuston.
Thank you to our fantastic auctioneer Chris Young, who along with those that contributed to the auction, raised $8,200 when the final hammer fell.
This amazing total will be distributed 50/50 between the Yarak family and The Heart Foundation where the proceeds will help hundreds of lives.
Raising this amount of money would not have been possible without the incredibly generous donations from our Auction Sponsors:
